Volunteer Opportunities

Internal Auditors: 2 people to perform our annual internal audit. If you like working with numbers and are looking for a project for your volunteer contribution rather than a long term commitment, this is for you!

Horse Show Manager Apprentices: Our low-cost, low-stress schooling shows are attended by equestrians from all over southern California in order to gain experience competing with a professional judge in an environment which emphasizes fun and learning. RBR is looking for people who have experience in managing horse shows or who would like to learn how. You will work with our expert, long-term volunteers to learn what goes into putting on our horse shows.

Gardening: RBR has a monthly gardener but relies on volunteers for daily and weekly tasks such as weeding, watering, pruning, etc. If you have a green thumb and a few hours a month, this is the job for you! Please see the list of gardening jobs here and let Anna know what you’d like to tackle.

Historic Preservation: We have many old Club photos and documents that need to be organized, properly archived and stored on acid-free paper.

Build Compost Area: Help to construct a dedicated composting area along the south fence line using reclaimed railroad ties.

Paint Tack Room Doors: Re-paint the lower tack room doors green with outdoor oil-based paint.

Fly Control: Monitor, refill and replace fly traps around the boarding areas as needed.

Prep Barrels for Planting: Please see here for preparation instructions.
