MYRTLE HILL FARM
Katherine Ginzton's Myrtle Hill Farm offers riding lessons for all levels, from pleasure riders to advanced competitors, both children and adults. Regular group lessons, semi-private or private lessons can be scheduled and school horses are available for those who are not horse owners.
Katherine Ginzton has been riding since the age of two, and soon after she began taking lessons at the Flintridge Riding Club in La Canada Flintridge, California. Her lessons began with Isabel Pulvers and continued with Nancy Frost, Susie Hutchison, Liz Denny, Don Stewart Jr., Michael Patrick, Gerhard Politz, Judy Martin, Nicole Bloom, and Sue Lightner. She has participated in clinics given by Anne, Kursinski, Joe Fargis, Linda Allen, Greg Best, Jimmy Wofford, Lindy Townley, Heather Bender, Nicole Shahinian-Simpson, Victor Hugo-Vidal, and Candice King.
In competition, Katherine was Foxfield Grand Champion in 2000, and she placed seventh in the AHSA Hunt Seat 1993. She won ten USET Talent Search classes to win the bronze and silver medals, and won high placings at all of the major Medal Finals on the west and east coast from 1990-2000: ASPCA, AHSA, WCE, LAHSA Jr. and Sr., CPHA, and PCHA Horsemanship.
Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation are the focus at Katherine’s Myrtle Hill Farm with emphasis on good horsemanship on and off the ground.
With respect to her students, Katherine wishes “to share the love of horses” that she has experienced, in serious competition and in the pleasure of a hobby. Katherine says, “I want to help people achieve their goals with horses, and I hope that through their work with horses people can learn compassion, confidence, and the determination to follow their dreams.”
Katherine offers instruction in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation for all levels as well as beginning Dressage and Western.
