- The Spring Dressage Schooling Show is confirmed for March 25th with Judge Patricia Lincourt (L) of Lincourt Stables! - Happy New Year! The Winter Hunter Schooling Show will be held on January 29th (rain date February 5th) with Judge Regina Antonioli. Gates open at 7:00am and the show will begin at 8:30am. - The RBR Holiday Party & Gift Steal will be held on December 7th at 6:30pm. Please bring a dish to share and a new, horse-themed present valued at $15 for each person in your party wishing to participate in the “Steal”. This year we will also be collecting unwrapped gifts for the children of Five Acres in Pasadena, some of which participated in our Horsemanship 101 classes. - The Fall Work Day & Vaccination Clinic will be held on November 5th! We’ll begin our work day at 8:00 am in the Clubhouse with a breakfast spread and Jeff Powell, our Director of Grounds will have several projects for us to work on. Please bring gloves and some tools if you can. If you can’t make the work day you’ll need to either send a donation to the P.O. Box or ask Jeff (rosebowlriders_info@yahoo.com) for a job to do on your own time. The vet clinic with Dr. Peralez/Brown will begin at 8:30 am by the Main Barn. - New at RBR: Arroyo Canyon Summer Horse Camp! RBR’s Western trainer Julie Unamuno will be holding two sessions of week-long Horse Camp at Rose Bowl Riders in July and August 2011. Sessions will focus on Western Pleasure and Horsemanship, with daily riding, mini horse shows, games on horseback, crafts, and much more. The first session will be held July 11-15, and the second session will be from August 22 -26. Both sessions are suitable for children age 7-14. Cost is $400 per session. - 6th Annual Horses in the Arroyo Day Play Day and BBQ will take place August 13th. Class registration starts at 12:00 PM, Play Day begins at 1:00 PM, and BBQ begins at 5:00 PM. Cost is $4.00 per class for the mounted division and $2.00 per class for the foot division (stick horses will be provided!). Dinner tickets are $5.00. All are welcome, bring the family! Trainer Katherine Ginzton’s Myrtle Hill Farm will be holding two special sessions of week-long Horse Camp at Rose Bowl Riders during August 2011. Sessions will focus on Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation, with daily riding, horse-related games and activities, and much more. The first session, for children 9 and older, will be August 1-5.
